Without your help, none of this would be possible.
We have been doing this work with veterans for years. We have spent untold hours racing to a veteran's side when we hear they are struggling. We have done this with love in our hearts and respect for our valuable men and women of the military. We have come when called, day or night, to be by their side, to listen with compassion, to act in those rare instances we can get there before it all goes wrong.
But its not enough. We are not sure when it will ever be enough....
JP Hoffman has done this work solo since being honorably discharged with 3 purple hearts from his service as a Ranger. JP suffers from PTSD too, which is why he understands where our veterans are coming from. His vision for The Liberty Projects is simple - Help Veterans by rescuing horses - something he knows well as a master farrier and previous rodeo participant. To put it simply, he found he needed assistance to be able to help more veterans so he turned to his friends and family to create The Liberty Projects.
We still are self-funding this every single day. We have some Big, Hairy, Audacious Goals around TLP that require we ask for outside assistance. We need capital to maintain our location. All our board and volunteers are doing this work with no compensation. We have horses to feed, programs to create and execute, and veterans that need our help. Our 990s are available below to see how our donations are spent. The Liberty Projects, Inc. has been a 501c3 since October 1st, 2021, retroactive to the date of formation, October 28th, 2020.
